Describe a time when you were faced with problems or stresses at work that tested your coping skills. What did you do?

Bearing the responsibility for the success or failure of a project, it is important to note that stress isn’t necessarily a bad thing as something that we all face at some time of life, with different levels based on a variety of factors.

Stress can be a negative factor for some people, a disruptive emotion which can stop you from accomplishing your goals or make you ill.

I have tried to use stress as a positive factor rather than allowing it to become a negative influence in the work place.

I have learnt how to effectively manage stress, by firstly learning how to recognise it.

In the past I used to experience a physical sign of anxiety, a tightening in the chest resulting in an inability to make a decision, after a period of time I began to recognise how stress manifested itself in my life, and was able to take measured steps to handle the emotion properly.

When running a hectic work schedule, I recognise the necessity to stop and take time for myself, change the frantic pace in order to relax and unwind.

I take breaks from eating in the office at my desk and try to enjoy meals outside, and also engage in activities I enjoy, such as hobbies, exercise, movies that I enjoy.
