| I recall a problem at work, involving
salary payments due to an issue with the payroll system.
Staff were becoming increasingly restless after 3 days of no wages.
The finance manager was continuously in meetings and refused to
speak to staff in regards to this problem for at least 2 days,
whereby we were informed of delays in client financial settlements.
I had to speak to my team of 10 personnel, to explain that the
company was probably having a tough time financially. Continuous
disruption would not serve any purpose, and the correct behaviour
would be to have patience, and await for the situation to be resolved,
which fortunately took place within one week.
