Summarise a situation where you successfully persuaded others to do something or to see your point of view

Most people are like sheep and will follow what others are doing, especially if/when they are uncertain about something.

Working mostly within digital media, during the past 10 years, I have seen plenty of examples where user-generated reviews are having a large influence on peoples' buying decisions, seen in the rapid growth social media.

Whilst working for an online retailer, I suggested that users be allowed to write reviews and express ratings for products and services on the website.

As this was free content for the site, future potential customers would be more inclined to trust what people similar to themselves were saying.

Potential customers I felt at the time, wanted user generated reviews and if they did not find them on the site, they would look elsewhere for their products.

I also convinced the senior partners not to be afraid of bad reviews, as customers could tell if our review section had been edited with all bad comments, taken out, this would leave them not trusting our services and products.
All reviews would be necessary for customer feedback, and helping the business act on any deficiencies.
I felt that my powers of persuasion convinced the senior mangers and partners to give users, the required information to make an informed choice, helping them trust the companies service.
