Think about a difficult boss, professor or other person. What made him or her difficult? How did you successfully interact with this person?

After university, I spent some time, working in a restaurant and bar, as a front of house supervisor, providing an efficient and high-end service to business clientele.

This involved the management of certain special events and requests.

The owner was an extremely temperamental gentleman, who suffered from severe mood swings.

Having witnessed his treatment of fellow staff members, I chose not to engage in personal conversations, fearing this could be used as intimidation at any point.

This proved a successful strategy, as we only ever discussed work issues, in turn, allowing me to dissociate myself outside of work.
